PEEK Machining

PEEK is a rugged thermoplastic that maintains water and chemical resistance at high temperatures. M&R Engineering's plastic machining services include creating PEEK machined parts for applications that require resistance to steam and hot water for extended periods of time.

When to use PEEK Machined Parts

We most commonly use PEEK machined parts for bearings, guides, nozzles and other parts often used in industrial applications. This is due to the fact that PEEK machined parts can be reinforced with glass or carbon fiber, and resist abrasion and radiation. There are two main mechanical properties in PEEK thermoplastics that are beneficial in harsh environments. One, the thermal conductivity, and two, the thermal degradation resistance. Not only is PEEK FDA and USDA approved. But it also emits minimal amounts of smoke and gas when exposed to fire.
