PEEK Machining

PEEK is a rugged thermoplastic that maintains water and chemical resistance at high temperatures. R&B Plastics, an M&R Engineering Company, machines PEEK parts for applications that require resistance to steam and hot water for extended periods of time. The mechanical properties held by PEEK thermoplastics that are beneficial in harsh environments include its thermal conductivity and thermal degradation resistance.

PEEK machined parts can be reinforced with glass or carbon fiber, and resist abrasion and radiation. They are also FDA and USDA approved and emit minimal amounts of smoke and gas when exposed to fire, especially useful in bearings, guides, nozzles and other parts often used in industrial applications.
