Vacation, Sick and Great Schedules

M&R Engineering provides 8 holidays per year, 3 sick days per year and 1 week of vacation for the first year and 2 weeks for the second year. Our office staff works 8 hours per day Monday through Friday, and our shop runs 10 hours per day Monday through Thursday. First shift: 5:30 am to 4 pm. Second shift: 3:30 pm to 1:30 am. Overtime opportunities exist based on customer demand.

Quality Control Inspector

M&R Engineering is a fast-paced environment with many opportunities to learn and challenge your technical capabilities in high precision machining. We believe in pushing the envelope and that quality is the responsibility of every line employee.

Job Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for first article, in-process and final inspections of small to medium-sized precision metal and plastic parts within an AS9100 environment.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, high precision shop experience is a plus
  • Must be able to read, interpret and work from engineering prints, drawings, and sketches
  • Must be capable of using an optical comparator, surface plate and height gages, micrometers and calipers, plug and ring thread gages, pin gages to inspect and be responsible for the quality of work. Keyence and CMM experience is a plus
  • Must understand True Positioning and Geometric Tolerancing
  • Must feel comfortable with a fast-paced environment and high number of lots
  • Must have impeccable attention to detail
  • Must have great time management and problem-solving skills
  • Must have the drive to learn and grow
  • Must be a team player

CNC Lathe Set-Up Machinist

Job Summary

The CNC Lathe Set-Up Machinist is responsible for setting up jobs on CNC lathes for tight tolerance metal and plastic parts. The position requires the individual to take the program provided, create tooling layouts, set-up high precision CNC Lathe, and meet production setup and run times.

Requirements
  • 5 years of CNC Lathes set up experience, FANUC controls is a plus
  • Must be able to effectively install tooling, set-up unsupervised within the required set-up and run times for each operation
  • Must be capable of changing tools and editing programs for increased efficiency
  • Must be capable of choosing appropriate cutting tools, machine fixture clamps, and soft jaws
  • Must be capable of using appropriate measuring tools and equipment to inspect and be responsible for the quality of work
  • Must be able to read, interpret and work from engineering prints, drawings, and sketches
  • Must feel comfortable with a fast-paced environment and frequent changeovers
  • Must be able to work effectively with little to no supervision
  • Must have great time management and problem-solving skills
  • Must have the drive to learn and grow
  • Must be a team player
